7 Steps to Radiant Skin

Many people have different ways in which they care for their skin. Some use facemasks, while others just use water. Some people buy all of the latest cleansers and make-up removers while others have stayed true to one brand their whole life. Everyone’s skin is different so the way to care for it also differs, however these steps should be included in everyone’s regimen in some way or another.
Step 1: Don’t go to bed with makeup on. Your skin needs to be able to breath at night. I know it is annoying especially when you’re really tired and all you want to do is fall into bed, bed this little step can make a huge difference. Sleeping with makeup on will only clog your pores and cause breakouts. Just think, if you don’t wash your face at night and then you reapply your makeup in the morning, you’re putting makeup on top of makeup and making it even harder for your skin to breath. This simple step cannot only help prevent breakouts, but also make your face feel fresh and clean.
Step 2: Exfoliate daily. Exfoliating removes dead skin and leaves you feeling fresh. Old skin can cause an uneven appearance of skin tone as well as breakouts. Also, exfoliation can make moisturizers and skin treatments work more effectively by removing that extra layer in which they would have had to get through.
Step 3: Keep your face moisturized. Moisturizing forms a barrier between your skin and environmental conditions keeping your face protected and healthy. Moisturizer holds moisture in and prevents your face from drying out. We’ve all had those days, especially in the winter, when our face is extremely dry and our makeup looks awful because our skin is flaking off. Avoid that embarrassment by applying some moisturizer at least once a day. Dry skin is also more prone to wrinkling and that is something everyone wants to steer clear of. A good workout can also help because the sweat moisturizes your skin.
Step 4: Find the right makeup for you. Don’t go straight for the most expensive cosmetics because you think that means it is the best, or the cheapest because you’re broke. Also don’t buy cosmetics just because it is what your friend uses and it works great for her. Everyone’s skin is different and everyone’s face reacts differently to different types of makeup. You should experiment with several brands, types, and colors to see what works best for you and makes you look fabulous!
Step 5: Treat your face with care. The skin on your face is thinner and more sensitive than the other skin on your body. Tugging, pulling, picking, and scrubbing too vigorously will damage your skin and cause spots, blemishes, and even wrinkles. Your face is one of the first things people notice about you so be gentle and treat it with care. Everyone likes to make a good first impression.
Step 6: Cover you face in the sun. You should always be wearing some type of SPF on your face no matter where you are. But if you are planning on being outside for an extended period of time, think about bringing a hat and some big sunglasses. Sun exposure can damage your skin and, like I said before, your face is one of the first things people notice about you so make sure it stays healthy and beautiful. You may think your skin is invincible now and can bounce back from the worst of sunburns, but later on down the road you will start to notice sunspots and discolorations that will remain forever. Take care of your skin now so you can look radiant in the future.
Step 7: Avoid stress. Stress can cause breakouts and worry lines (wrinkles). You should do your best to avoid getting too stressed out now, so that these things don’t stick with you forever. Try to do at least one thing you enjoy or that relaxes you every day in order to relieve some of that stress and to avoid the effects stress has on your skin.
