Importants Of Facial Care And What You Need To Know

April 20th, 2011

In our society today there are many innovations such as Facial care for everybody. That is for both men and women. As an aromatherapist I’m passionate concerning facial care products. Ingredients from the cosmetics we apply are engrossed into our bodies and I feel it is just as significant that they are natural as if they are eaten. But there are other ways to care for our skin physically, some of them more significant than what we put on it. Here are some of the most essential things you need to know about facial care.

1. Water. Of course it is unlikely that this is information to you, we are apparently bombarded by nutritionists, doctors and good looks of therapists telling us this. Yet it is one of the most ordinary issues I come across. Dehydration causes fine lines and prevents most favorable cleansing.

Don’t fail to remember your eight glasses!

2. Diet, equally unsurprisingly, is enormously significant. This is where the adage “you are what you eat” is in confirmation. It is not only junk food causing a difficulty here though, low-fat diets which have been very fashionable since the eighties, can go ahead to drying of the skin.

3. Exercise, perhaps less obviously is significant for our skin. Exercise gets our blood pumping about the body, taking with it nutrients, bathing the cells and removing waste products which can lead to a dull complexion. This is genuine victor for a healthy glow.

4. Natural products are, of course, also significant. It is becoming more and more evident that artificial food stuffs such as coloring, preservative and sweetener are not really good for our health.
As I have previously said, ingredients in the products we put onto our skin can also be engrossed into our bodies. It seems to me that putting artificial ingredients onto our face is probable to be equally ill-advised. And more and more of the large skin care manufacturers appear to agree, as they are investigating plant extracts and adding up natural anti-oxidants such as green and white tea to their products before going to the market with them.

5. Protecting our skin from the sun has been well known and the axiom “slip, slap, slop” is well-known to most of us. The sun creates free radicals, which are ageing but not as good as still can be accountable for causing skin cancer. The best thing we can do is cover up. This won’t assist the facial skin but will defend the decolletage. Subsequently, slap…. on a hat. This will defend our face and neck which are the most delicate areas of skin, and most prone to lines. Thirdly, sun cream will assist guard the exposed skin. The amount of time it will care for for can be worked out using the SPF. Some moisturizers will include SPFs even though they are rarely superior than a 15 which will assist generally but in strong sunlight a sun block is advisable.

Another way of defending our skin from the sun which is less well-known is by eating special foods stuff. Anti-oxidant foods are evidently useful for fighting free radicals. The omnipresent omega-3 fatty acid is also known for protecting against sunburn, as are foods rich in carotenoids and lycopene, such like tomatoes.

Certain substances are above all harmful to the skin. We have alcohol and caffeine is dehydrating and so it is generally suggested that they are partially limited. The amount of caffeine in coffee is not likely to be enormously destructive, but most of us will have noticed that we don’t look our best after the night ahead of!

Sugar is a superior enemy than you might imagine. Lot’s of people believe it causes spots but whether or not this is true (the jury is still out on that one) it has a far worse consequence. Sugar attacks the collagen and elastin fibres which make up the structure of the skin, and can consequently cause wrinkles.

Of course, smoking is bad for our skin. It dehydrates and so promotes wrinkles, particularly around the mouth, giving it that “dog’s bottom” look. As well as introducing a barrage of toxins into the body, some of which are recognized carcinogens (cancer causing) it depletes our stores of vitamin C which would more often than not fight free.
