Skin Care Solutions From Your Kitchen

This past Monday I was on Martha’s Stewart nationally syndicated radio show “Living Today” and we got a lot of calls from people around the country that wanted to know about home remedies and skin care solutions from everyday kitchen ingredients.

Here are some of the recipes that I discussed in the show. Anyone can do them and get more beautiful skin as a result.

Recipes For a Healthier You!

For sun damaged, sunburned or dry/sensitive skin:

3 tbs aloe Vera juice
1 tbs aloe Vera gel
2 drops rose oil
Apply with cotton ball to damaged/sunburned area or all over face and neck
Leave on for 20 minutes


6 teaspoons grape seed oil
2 drops rose oil
1 teaspoon warmed honey
5 teaspoons Ground almonds to form a paste
Apply with damp sea sponge all over face and neck
Leave on for 20 minutes

Face scrub:

1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup corn meal
1/4 cup Grapefruit juice

Cool in the fridge to thicken
Apply with damp fingers and gently scrub all over face

Hydrating Mask:

1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 avocado
1/4 honey
Apply with a sea sponge all over face and neck
Leave on for 20 minutes
